ATLANTA -- Atlanta Hawks coach Nate McMillan took some heat from his coaching staff -- as well as some fans on social media 

for having starters on the court with just over five minutes left in Wednesday night's 132-103 play-in victory over the Charlotte Hornets. 

 Atlanta to meet with the Hawks in the play-in tournament Wednesday night. The NBA is settling into the postseason as playoffs are set to begin next week. Before playoff series begins,

the league’s newly-added play-in tournament is going on with the last couple of games wrapping up this week. 

The coaches were yelling and screaming at me, 'Get the guys out so that we could get them a rest in!'" McMillan said with a smile.  

But it's time to play. It's game time. We should be ready when we go to Cleveland."  Atlanta will play the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday, 

The Atlanta Hawks are among the several teams that are trying to secure a spot in the playoffs. The Hawks are in good favors being that they are hosting the Hornets in the State Farm Arena Wednesday. 

Prior to this match up the Hawks beat the Houston Rockets 130-114. Winning the last 12 of their 17 games. Ending the regular season with a 43-39 overall record. 

The Hawks are led by Trae Young who is averaging 28.4 points and 9.7 assists. Young was the spark to this Atlanta team that led the Hawks to their first playoff spot last season.
